I recently got a Lensbaby Composer. I really like this lens. It’s by far the easiest Lensbaby to use. You have complete control and can compose exactly where you want the sweet spot of focus to be. Guess that’s why they call it Composer. I also have the optic kit, which contains a single glass insert, a plastic insert, and a pinhole insert. The optics can be changed on the fly to get the look you’re after. The following image was photographed with the plastic insert and the f/4.0 aperture insert. I love the soft dreamy look of this image.

After exporting the image from Lightroom, I decided to open it up in Corel Painter 11, clone the image and then use the Auto-Painting feature with a pastel Smart Brush, which resulted in the following image. ComposerĀ  and Painter make a dynamic duo, wouldn’t you agree?

I’m in the process of looking for a new home. I started my search in Bradenton, Florida, which is just north of Sarasota. I’m looking in this area because I used to live in Sarasota, and enjoyed the time I spent there. After looking at several homes with a realtor, I drove into downtown Bradenton and found my way to the Manatee River. The sun was sinking below the horizon. These are two of my favorite shots from the marina. The second image was captured with my Original Lensbaby with the f/4 aperture insert. The RAW images were processed in Lightroom. I used split toning to make the images pop.
